  • Present and future domains and subdomains, henceforth referred to as the 'Website';
  • Mobile and web applications made available by DrumUp, henceforth referred to as the 'Applications'; and
  • Other products and services from DrumUp, henceforth referred to as the 'Platforms'

For an easier reading of this policy, the Website, Applications and Platforms will together be referred to as the 'Services' or ‘DrumUp’.

DrumUp is committed to ensuring the privacy of all users who use its Services. Please read the Privacy Policy to understand how we protect your privacy and personal information. By visiting and/or using any of the Services, you will be consenting to the terms of the Privacy Policy, henceforth referred to as the 'Privacy Policy'.


Information collection and use

The information you provide to DrumUp remains your property. But, by providing us the information, you accord us the right to make use of the information, subject to pertinent law, in the manner explained in the Privacy Policy, including uses such as presenting the information to other users of the Services. This occurs only for users of the Employee Advocacy platform, wherein employees’ data in the form of actions (likes, shares & comments) on posts published by the company on social media are tracked to provide analytics to the admin of the program.

Use of information

DrumUp may use the information for the following general purposes:

1. To deliver customer service in ways such as below:
  • Providing you with the information you’ve requested from us about our Services
  • Responding to your questions or inquiries about our Services
  • Providing you with a customized experience based on the requirements you’ve communicated to us
  • Contacting you with regard to any transactional matter arising from your use of our Services, such as billing, authentication and security
  • Keeping you updated with information about our Services if you have expressly requested for the same
2. To manage your account in ways such as below:
  • Identifying you when you sign into your account
  • Providing you with general account support, such as recovering a forgotten password or resetting to a new password
  • Sending you Services-related announcements such as a temporary suspension of Services due to maintenance. In your best interests, you may not be able to opt-out of such non-promotional communications.

All correspondence pertaining to (1) and (2) above will occur through emails, text messages, or notifications via the Services or your social media pages.

3. To conduct business-related analysis using aggregate, non-identifiable information such as listed below:
  • Analyzing our Services
  • Analyzing user behavior to improve our Services
  • Analyzing user demographics to gauge affinities and interests

We may use third-party services to carry out certain functions on our behalf. The functions may include removing duplicate user information, analyzing data and conducting user and/or marketing analysis. The use of your personal information will be limited to performing such functions and shall not be used for other purposes. We may also share aggregate, non-identifiable user statistics with our affiliates and partners only.

By providing information to DrumUp at the time of registration, you are granting us permission to use your information for the purposes thus entailed.

Collection of information

By installing and/or using the Services, you will be consenting to the collection and record of the information you provide us through our Services, third-party services or social networks.

The information collected by the Services may include your full name, birth date, gender, biographical data, credit card details, email address and other such information present on the social networking platform through which you have subscribed to the Services. The information can be collected from connection widgets such as Facebook Connect, Google Plus, Twitter, LinkedIn and more. The information may include your social media network likes, interests, contacts, friends list, locations, profile picture, posts, posts you’ve been tagged in, status messages, shares and miscellaneous social media actions. We may also collect the information you submit during registration, and administration and personalization of user experience (e.g. location, zip code etc.).

We may also obtain your information when you access and use the Services and/or from your customer support inquiries and requests. Our servers may automatically record your log data (information that your browser sends when you access a website or application on the Internet). The log data may include your IP address, type of browser, the webpages you visited, time you spent on the pages, your search content and other such information. The intention behind collecting this data is to improve our Services and deliver enhanced user experience.

We may track your online interactions with our Services through the use of cookies or Google Analytics. A cookie is a small piece of data sent by a web server and stored by a user’s web browser. Our intention behind using cookies is to understand your browsing activity on our Services. Declining cookies may affect the functionality, look and behavior of our Services. You also have the option of sharing additional information other than that mentioned above, across the Services.

When you use a social media platform or third-party platform/service to access the Services, or connect to a third party platform, service or network through the Services, you are granting us permission to collect, store and use any and all the data you consented the social media site or third-party platform could provide to us through the site’s or third-party platform’s Application Programming Interface (API) and according to your settings on the particular social network or third-party platform. Your agreement is binding from the time you connect with the social network or third-party platform/service through the Services, and/or when you access the Services or allow the Services to acquire your information via a social network or third-party platform/service.

We may also obtain or collect information about you from other app users. The information will be used to help you connect with users and vice versa.


Information sharing and disclosure

DrumUp does not disclose any personal information collected through the Services to third parties, expect in cases as listed below.

Regardless of any statement in the Privacy Policy to the contrary, we may share information you have provided us or we have collected about you:

  1. When you expressly agree to the disclosure of such information to a third party when accessing a third-party service that inquires if you have granted permission to allow such sharing;
  2. Where we have a legal obligation to do so, for instance in response to court orders or legal proceedings; or to defend against legal demands or claims, or to safeguard, uphold or exercise our legal rights;
  3. If it is required for the purposes of preventing, investigating or addressing fraud, illegal activities or situations where any individual's personal safety, rights or property is facing potential threat;
  4. If we deem it necessary for the purposes of preventing, investigating or addressing situations where the Services infrastructure or the Internet faces risk of abuse, including such threats as denial-of-service attacks, spamming or attempts to jeopardize the security of the Website infrastructure or Services in general;
  5. To subsidiaries, joint ventures, a parent company or other companies under common control with DrumUp;
  6. If we have merged with or been acquired by another entity. The entity in question will handle the obligations under this Privacy Policy or notify you about the applicability of a new privacy policy. Your information may also be shared in connection with a sale of assets, reorganization or bankruptcy filing. You can opt out of such transfer if the new entity plans to process your information in a manner different to that set out in this Privacy Policy;
  7. If the information is non-private, non-personal or aggregated, such as your public user profile data (likes, Tweets, shares and such) or the number of users who clicked on a specific link, even if only a single user performed this action; and
  8. To trusted third parties whose services we have engaged for purposes including but not limited to database management, hosting and maintenance, billing, customer service, data analysis and direct marketing. Your personally identifiable information will be shared only when doing so is necessary to discharge these functions and subject to contractual obligations that require such third parties to ensure the security and privacy of your data.

Changing or deleting information, and retaining data

We will store and use your information to meet our legal obligations, execute our agreements, and settle disputes. As a registered user of the Website, you may access, modify, delete or update the information you have submitted to us by emailing us at support@drumup.io. We will store your information for the time your account is active and in order to provide the Services. Third party apps and services

This Privacy Policy is not applicable to the practices of third-party services such as Twitter or Facebook that you choose to access at your discretion through the Services offered by us, or through applications developed by third parties using DrumUp Application Programming Interface (API), over which DrumUp does not exercise any ownership or control. We advise you to understand the privacy policies of such third-party applications or platforms before you connect to or access them through DrumUp.


Links to other websites and advertisements

Our Website may contain links to other sites. The existence of such links does not endorse, authorize or represent our affiliation with the third party in question. Neither are we responsible for nor do we have any control over third-party websites. The sites may have their own cookie and data collection policies. We advise you to read their policies and procedures regarding the use, storage and collection of your personally identifiable information.

The links or contents of third-party advertisers may be presented within the Services. It does not represent our endorsement of the products, services or web services provided by the third-party advertisers. We also do not own, control or bear responsibility for such advertising content. By using the Services, you are agreeing that we are in no way responsible or liable for any loss or damage occurring from the use of such goods, services and web services. Your business dealings, communications and transactions with regard to the purchase of good/services or use of promotions/coupons of third-party advertisers within the Services, including payment and delivery of goods/services and matters related to warranties or terms and conditions are at your own risk and solely between you and such advertisers.
